On November 6th 2010 (11/06/10) Janet Kuypers held the first hour-long performance slot at the "Visual Nonsense" event at Swing State (a hookah lounge) in Lake Villa, IL. Because the vening was visual, all of Kuypers' performance included video. This is the video of the entire performance, which included the poems Kurt Irons, the Men at the Construction Site, a Man Calls a Woman, a Socially Accepted Target, In Their Homes or In The Streets, the Burning, Most Accurate Metaphors, the Measuring Scale, Scratch the Surface, My Future Job Options, Counting Bodies, So, Death is a Dog, and finally: And I'm Wondering. Wes Heine (Cousin Bones) played the harmonica during a poem, C Ra McGuirt (of Penny Dreadful Press) read two of the poems on video, Andy Derryberry of the DMJ Art Connection played an instrumental on video for one of the poems, and the majority of the instrumentals were done by John Yotko. Not only did she have projected videos running throughout her show, but she also had two small screens with randomly generating original artwork and photography of hers, plus a camera filming her, projecting her image on a larger television screen.
